There are so many benefits to line drying your laundry outdoors (or even indoors if you're in need of a humidity boost in the dry winter months!)... We outlined a few of these benefits in a blog post earlier this year. You can find it HERE. I would love to hear in the comments below if you got to enjoy the freshness of summer laundry out on the line!
If you meant to set up a clothesline but didn’t get to it yet, don’t worry. There’s still some beautiful weather ahead. As we move toward autumn the sunlight softens, which is better for your clothes anyway, so take advantage of those rays!
Also, now that we’re heading back into routines after summer vacation time, it’s good to know that high dryer heat can be an easy way to get rid of germs and allergens – but it can melt the fibers in your clothes, shortening the life of your clothes and making them look duller. I’ve noticed how some shirts seem to fade a little bit with each wash and want to do whatever I can to preserve the life of my clothes to keep them looking as good as possible, for as long as possible.
I hope you avoid this laundry mistake, too! Save the high heat for things like bed sheets or towels when needed, especially if you have allergies, and spare your clothes by drying them on low heat. Not only can this extend the lifespan of your clothes, but using the lowest heat setting is a great way to save energy too!
Another way to take the best care of your clothes as possible is to use Earth Breeze eco laundry detergent sheets, which give a gentle yet powerful clean. It’s totally biodegradable-–even the packaging-–so it’s easy on the earth as well as your clothes. And Earth Breeze is certified cruelty free so you can rest assured it’s never been tested on animals. Shop for Earth Breeze and our entire Fall Collection HERE.
May you be well.
Peace,
Nathaniel
